Verity - The Psychological Thriller

The book Verity is a psychological thriller written by Colleen Hoover, the infamous author of It Ends With Us and Reminders of Him, both New York Times best sellers. The novel follows Lowan Ashleigh a budding writer who is offered a chance to ghostwrite by Jeremey Crawford, husband of the renowned author Verity Crawford who slipped into unconscious slumber after an accident leaving her novels unfinished. Hired as the ghost writer to finish the novels of her icon Verity, Lowan steps into the Crawford residence and begins her work at Verity’s own study. As she works on the manuscript she also unbeknownst to her, unveils the dark secrets of the family that has been buried. In the end the book leaves the reader with a huge question hanging over them, ‘What was the truth?’ And the bookstagram is still torn by the teams, Team Manuscript vs.Team Letter. Whichever team it may be but for now we’re all just team Verity.

The first scene of the movie recreates the opening of the novel as it is, setting the ominous tone right and perfect. The picture is the intro scene of Lowen (Dakota) where she witnesses an accident and meets Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett) for the first time.

Release Date: Where Can We Watch?

Although the exact release date is yet to be announced, some information from the team does relay that we can expect the movie to premiere in the early 2026. It is known that Amazon, MGM studios has taken the movie under its wing.
